
Dr. Andreas I. Chrysochos was born in Greece in 1986. In 2009, he received his Dipl.-Eng. degree (B.Sc.+M.Sc.) from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a GPA of 9.46/10 – “Honors,” ranking 1st among all graduates that year. In 2015, he received his Dr.-Eng. (Ph.D.) degree from the same school with “Honors.” In 2017, he earned his M.B.A. in business administration (M.Sc.) from the University of Macedonia with a GPA of 9.67/10 – “Honors,” again ranking 1st among all graduates that year. In 2023, he received his M.Math. in mathematics (M.Sc.) from the Hellenic Open University with a GPA of 9.06/10 – “Honors.”
From 2015 to 2017, he was a research fellow at the Power Systems Laboratory of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. From 2017 to 2019, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Power Systems Laboratory of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Democritus University of Thrace. Since 2017, he has been working in the R&D Department of Hellenic Cables, where he currently serves as a senior manager.
He was a scholar of the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation with two distinct scholarships (2012–15, 2016–17), an honorary scholar of the Research Committee of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2012–13), and a scholar of the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece (2017–19). He has co-authored more than 95 scientific publications in leading international peer-reviewed scientific journals and major conference proceedings, as well as one book chapter. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a member of the International Council for Large Electric Systems (CIGRE), the Technical Chamber of Greece, the Hellenic Organization for Standardization (ELOT), and EuropaCable.
